The Role
In this role, you will:
1. Develop and manage a sustainable WHS management system in line with legislative requirements
2. Drive a strong safety culture through education, training, and proactive engagement
3. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to mitigate workplace risks
4. Lead incident investigations, audits, and WHS working groups to enhance safety outcomes
5. Provide expert advice on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and compensation matters
6. Collaborate with leaders and staff to embed best-practice health and safety initiatives
The Ideal Person
You are a skilled WHS professional with experience driving workplace safety initiatives in complex environments. With strong stakeholder engagement skills, you build trusted relationships and influence positive change.
Your expertise in risk management, compliance, and injury prevention ensures effective safety strategies and compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
You bring a proven ability to develop WHS frameworks, policies, and training programs, along with experience in risk mitigation, audits, and incident investigations.
A collaborative and solutions-focused approach enables you to drive continuous improvement.
A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification/experience) is essential. Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.
