A work culture that values you. About this role The Aquatic Centre Coordinator is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of the Aquatic Centre and Swim School. This includes overseeing staff, developing swim programs, maintaining safety and compliance, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role also contributes to the broader strategic goals of Churches of Christ by fostering a welcoming and mission-aligned environment. Key responsibilities Developing and managing top-notch swimming programs for all age groups. Leading, mentoring, and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional service. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff and patrons. Managing administration, scheduling, and aquatic centre systems efficiently. Driving community engagement and promoting our services to grow participation. Upholding compliance, maintaining facilities, and fostering a zero-harm workplace culture. What you can bring to the team As the Aquatic Centre Coordinator, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our Aquatic Centre and Swim School, ensuring everything flows smoothly—from creating exceptional swim programs to leading an enthusiastic team of instructors and lifeguards. The essential requirements for this position are: Pool Lifeguard Certificate Current First Aid and CPR certification. AUSTSWIM or Learn to Swim Accreditation. 5 years in leadership and management within aquatic centres. Desirable Current Infant and Pre School-Aquatics Accreditation. Current Teacher of Competitive Swimming Accreditation. Current Aquatic Service Officer Certificate. Possesses or willingness to acquire: Pool Operators Certificate Current National Police Certificate. Working with Children (Blue Card).
