About This Role
Our client is a leading agribusiness focused on animal welfare, biosecurity, and production excellence. We're seeking an experienced Poultry Veterinarian to join the team and help maintain the health and welfare of the flocks across multiple locations.
You will provide veterinary care, manage diseases, and ensure biosecurity. This role involves hands-on care, research-based solutions, and working with internal and external teams to maintain flock health and improve production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with farm managers and specialists to optimize flock health, welfare, and production outcomes.
2. Diagnose, treat, and prevent health issues, manage disease outbreaks, and implement biosecurity measures.
3. Manage resources, budgets, and health records while applying veterinary advancements and leading emergency protocols.
4. Train and mentor staff on health management, disease identification, and biosecurity practices.
Requirements
1. Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and current registration with Veterinary Surgeons Board of QLD.
2. Minimum 3 years' experience in poultry veterinary practices.
