Located in the Far-West region of NSW, Dubbo Private has a community-focused feel while being able to deliver high-quality health services to the Far West NSW regions. The hospital encompasses 53 beds, 3 operating theatres, and an established rehabilitation program for our medical and surgical wards. We are also fortunate to have onsite radiology, daily pathology collection, and specialist surgical consulting suites on-site.

Your new role as Quality & Risk Coordinator
Dubbo Private Hospital gives skilled clinicians a platform to make tangible differences to service users' quality of life and improve health outcomes. We currently have a permanent Part-Time opportunity (38 hours per fortnight) for a highly motivated and committed Quality & Risk Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive team. This role would potentially suit a working parent or someone studying further qualifications.
Subject to the candidate's experience and qualifications, there may be the possibility of working additional hours as a clinical nurse up to a further 38 hours a fortnight. This is entirely dependent on the candidate's willingness to do so.
About you (essential criteria):
Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
Clinical registration with AHPRA
Knowledge of Risk Management principles, relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and certification processes
Experience in applying customer-focused safety, controls assurance, quality management principles, and continuous improvement methodology
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and applications
Knowledge of ACHS and/or ISO 9001:2016 accreditation process
Strong people management and communication skills
Strong organisational skills with an ability to work autonomously and deliver objectives within deadlines
Computer literate, with competency in using Microsoft Office software
Strong collaborative interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Immunisation evidence (including full COVID vaccination) and serology report
Postgraduate qualification in Risk & Quality, Health Management, or willingness to obtain
Advanced Clinical Skills with a broad knowledge base
Experience in the development and maintenance of risk management policies and implementation of organization risk management programs and strategies
Cert IV in training & Assessment or willingness to obtain
Flexible working arrangements can be supported including variable time work patterns. Pay level will be dependent on experience in line with the NSW Private Hospitals Nursing award.
