The nominated supervisor for an Out of School Hours (OOSH) program has the responsibility of managing day-to-day operations and providing leadership to the OOSH team. Monday-Friday 08:30am-430pm and filling in at the service if needed.Here are some key aspects of the role:*Oversee the daily operation of the OOSH service, ensuring compliance with the National Quality *Framework (NQF) and relevant regulations.*Develop and implement a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).*Meet the educational and developmental needs of children, including those with disabilities.*Present the OOSH weekly program for approval.*Create weekly menu's that meet the healthy food guidelines.*Evaluate, update, and implement service policies and procedures.*Ensure safety, health, and wellbeing of staff and children.*Staff Management and Development:*Provide effective leadership to OOSH staff.*Plan and monitor staff professional development.*Conduct staff appraisals.*Communicate changes in regulations.*Participate in staff recruitment.*Implements developmentally appropriate programs for children.*Assists the Coordinator in meeting or exceeding national quality standards.*Provides professional leadership and development to staff.*Liaises with management committees as neededSkills:- Proven experience working in a Responsible Persons/ Nominated Supervisor role within the field of childhood education (OOSH) or similar setting- Strong Knowledge of My time our place, National law and National Regulations- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to build positive relationships - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities - Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail - Proficient computer literacy including knowledge of relevant software applicationsQualifications: - Certificate III or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent - Valid Working With Children Check/Blue Card (or willing to obtain) - Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willing to obtain) - Knowledge of National Quality Frameworks (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), Child Protection Legislation, My Time Our Place (MTOP)-Food Safety Supervisor (or willing to obtain)- Child Protection 001 or 025
