The position works within a professional team responsible for the enforcement of regulations and by-laws in the areas of animal control, fire abatement, nuisances, parking and the non-technical conditions of development and building approvals.To be successful, you will need to have sound negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and apply legislation, by-laws, and regulations. You will also have an aptitude and confidence to deal with animals, predominantly dogs, and be available for after-hours and weekend rostered work.
