The Role: This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level HR Professional to develop a wide range of HR expertise within the People and Culture team of DHUD. The HR Support Officer will provide timely support services from end-end recruitment, contract management and associated paperwork, support the data integrity and provide mid-level advice and support to managers & staff on a range of human resources matters. The role will also be required to assist with a range of human resource related projects and process improvement activities. About You: To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities: Undertake specific administration and support tasks that contribute to the timely and successful completion of human recourse operational activities and projects. Assist with the coordination of recruitment processes including recruitment administration duties, drafting employment contracts, assisting managers with onboarding and induction processes, completing HR forms and corresponding with Shared Services. Verify HR and payroll forms for new starters, transfers, assignments and other employment related matters for processing in accordance with relevant Acts, Awards or departmental guidelines and actioned as appropriate. Maintain accurate and confidential HR records by entering and ensuring the integrity of employee data, personal information and position records. Desirable Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Human Resource management, organisational psychology or equivalent. Special Conditions Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years. This role is offered on a term basis for 12 months.
