Our client base includes farmers, agronomists, rural retailers and research organisations with our samples originating from all across Australia.The peak season is from November through to March and with leave coverage across the year, additional availability up to full time hours may be required during these periods.Immediate start.Based in Belmont Western Australia.As a Sample Preparation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring all samples are appropriately receipted, sorted, prepared, packed and sent for analysis in a timely manner to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.This role will focus on:Receipting samples from clients including walk-ins.Booking jobs into our Laboratory Information Management System.Checking the PO Box for sample deliveries.Ensuring client details and test requirements are correct.Drying samples in ovens.Grinding of soils & plant samples as required.Adequately packing and organising courier pickups using an online portal.Ensuring the courier deadlines are met.Working in the fast-paced sample receipt and preparation area.Ensuring samples are completed in a timely manner and correct methods, procedures and work instructions are adhered to.What we are looking for in individuals to join our team:Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks.Ability to follow procedures with absolute attention to detail.Excellent numeracy, written and oral communication skills.Sound knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite.Great organisational skills and ability to multi-task.Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.Able to be deadline focused.Experience in a commercial sample preparation laboratory would be advantageous but not a requirement to be successful in this role.
