.Net Developer Officer, Health Regulatory Applications (several positions)Australian Department of Health and Aged Care – Adelaide SA
We are seeking dedicated and self-motivated individuals to work as part of a team to manage, review and update code in existing applications. As a member of the Health Regulatory Applications Section, you will need to exercise a degree of independence and undertake work that is more complex in nature using good judgement, expertise and knowledge. The successful candidates will be based in Canberra and will participate in scrum/agile projects, peer review code of team members and actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
The .Net Developer will work independently under the APS Code of Conduct and handle complex tasks with good judgement and expertise. Key responsibilities include:
Managing, reviewing, and updating code in existing applications.Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and operating business application solutions using agreed standards and tools.Participating in scrum/agile projects and peer reviewing team members' code.Engaging in continuous improvement activities and applying best practices for technology stacks and application delivery.Contributing to team health by participating in ceremonies and supporting continuous improvement.Understanding solution strategies and roadmaps.Liaising with clients and stakeholders to understand business needs.Monitoring and responding to production incidents, applying IT service management best practices.Resolving critical business issues and seeking opportunities to improve solution operations in availability, performance, security, and efficiency.To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health and Aged Care, applicants must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
An applicant's suitability for employment with Health and Aged Care will also be assessed through a variety of pre-employment check processes, such as:
Satisfactory completion of a criminal history check, and where relevant, a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check.Completion of a medical declaration and pre-employment medical (where required).Providing evidence of qualifications (where required).Obtaining and maintaining a security clearance at the required level.For this role, applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance, or hold a current security clearance at an appropriate level.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must hold tertiary qualifications or equivalent extensive experience in information technology and software development field.
