A critical minerals exploration and development company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its transition from junior exploration to full-scale development. Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Drive corporate growth and oversee the transition from exploration to development and production.
* Project Development: Lead the planning, financing, and execution of mining projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Financial & Capital Management: Secure funding through equity, debt, and alternative financing structures while managing budgets and cost control.
* Operational Efficiency: Oversee mine planning, permitting, and execution to maximize efficiency and long-term value creation.
* Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing technical, operational, and financial teams.
* Stakeholder & Investor Relations: Engage with investors, board members, and key stakeholders to drive shareholder value and maintain transparency.
* Lead Commercial Negotiations: Oversee and negotiate key contracts with major contractors and suppliers to ensure optimal project execution and cost efficiency.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience in executive leadership within the mining sector, preferably in an ASX-listed or publicly traded company.
* Demonstrated ability to transition a junior mining company from exploration to development and production .
* Expertise in fundraising, capital markets, and financial structuring, with a track record of securing project financing.
* Experience in cost management, budgeting, and financial planning within the mining industry.
* A visionary leader with the ability to build and scale teams, optimize operations, and drive business growth.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate regulatory, investor, and board-level interactions.
* A high level of drive, resilience, and problem-solving ability to overcome challenges in the mining development cycle.
* Technical background in geology, engineering, or mining operations, combined with financial acumen would be advantageous.
