About the role
Mater Private Hospital Redland has a couple of wonderful opportunities available for dual qualified Registered Nurses/Midwives to join the Obstetrics and Surgical Unit.
These are great opportunities for any experienced Registered Nurses/Midwives who are wanting to expand their clinical skillset within general surgery. These opportunities will be offered at a minimum 0.6 FTE. An immediate start is available
Mater Private Hospital Redland is an expanding facility with 60 beds, accommodating specialities including orthopaedics, rehabilitation, acute medicine, palliative care, urology, gynaecology, general and breast surgery. The hospital incorporates 2 operating rooms, 1 endoscopy room, 3 birth suites and a busy Day Procedure Unit, and offers award winning nursing services in an idyllic environment.
Salary range: $38.16 - $49.04 (Registered Nurse/Midwife Level 1) per hour plus superannuation & salary packaging
What you'll be doing
Based in the PCU2 ward, this role will see you provide care for patients within obstetrics, birth suites, postnatal, antenatal and general surgical areas. As an integral team member, you will support the general function of the unit using best practice principles and education whilst drawing upon your extensive midwifery and surgical experience.
About you
To be considered suitable for this position you must hold dual qualifications and AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.
In addition, the successful applicant will also have:
* Current birth suite experience
* Considerable experience in obstetrics
* A strong patient centred care focus
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated commitment to the continued quality improvement and best practice principles
* A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
* A desire to share your experiences and participate in the future development of the unit.
