Based in Albany, in WA's Great Southern region, you'll be surrounded by stunning coastline, beaches, forests, mountain ranges, rolling pasture and farmland. This region has a diverse mix of places, people, and issues which you will cover across the ABC's multiple platforms.You'll also be part of an incredibly hardworking team who collaborates to get these stories out to the rest of the country on the ABC news website, on TV, national radio programs and social media.The Job Source, produce and present, as required, across all platforms, including breaking stories. Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences. Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required. Generate stories that are relevant to a broad section of Australians and reflect the cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity of the country. About You You'll have: Creative approach to content construction and delivery, and accomplished experience in live presentation and broadcast. Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement. Demonstrated understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience. Possession of a current and valid Driver's Licence is essential with a willingness and flexibility to travel to remote locations. A demonstrated and ongoing interest and passion in finding and telling stories that reflect Australia's diversity.
