Cheil Worldwide is a tech-driven advertising agency with a global team of over 7,000 employees, including 70+ based in Sydney, Australia. We specialise in a broad range of marketing services, including digital, events, creative, retail, and film. This role primarily focuses on working with our key client, Samsung Consumer Electronics.
Primary Function
This is a full-time role on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. Based at our Olympic Park, Sydney office, working hours will generally be in the afternoon and evening, depending on livestream production schedules.
As the Video Editor for an online shopping show, you will be compiling footage, lower thirds and graphics in advance for livestreams, then editing together post event cut downs and creative compilations of the livestream for social media promos. You will also be involved with creative ideation of the livestreams and be on hand to support the live production as well. It would be advantageous if you have additional skillsets, such as videography, motion graphics creation, sound recording and/or vision switching, but ultimately, your primary skillset will be creating compelling content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Compiling footage, lower third & motion graphics ahead of livestreams.
* Produce a recap of the highlights to drive sales and promote future livestreams.
* Create engaging and compelling short form content to fit the right demographic and platform.
* Creating thumbnails.
* Logging timecode notes during LIVE for short form content creation.
* Supporting the live broadcast, as required.
* Availability to work various hours and days based on production requirements and rosters.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in editing live event product focused content and/or equivalent television / online videos.
* Intermediate to advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
* Experience working with green screen backgrounds.
* Experience working within a studio environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
