Company DescriptionTable Talk Therapy & Supports is a company passionate about providing collaborative allied health and direct care supports in the Albury-Wodonga community.Role DescriptionThis is a remote role for a Disability Support Worker.The Disability Support Worker will be responsible for providing regular support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties include assisting with personal care, facilitating communication, providing companionship, and implementing safeguarding measures. The role also involves technical support related to assistive technologies and devices.Notably, our service places a high level of importance on connections between families and allied health professionals jointly working to build the capacity and independence of the individuals we support. The successful candidate will share a passion for enhancing the quality of life and the overall community engagement and independence of individuals living with disability. Personalised goals will be central to the day-to-day care supports provided for each individual on their caseload.QualificationsExperience working as Support Worker.Experience in other care fields is valued.Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills.Knowledge and implementation of Safeguarding measures.Technical Support skills related to assistive technologies.Compassionate and empathetic nature.Ability to work independently and remotely.Certification or training in disability support or related field/s is desired.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.NSW and VIC-based working with children checks required.Police check/s required.Senior First Aid certification is desired.NDIS Worker Check/s.Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance (personal) required.
