We are seeking a HSE Managerwith national responsibility for operational Health and Safety, based out ofour Brisbane Support Offices at either Loganholme or Richlands, while travelling extensively supporting ourregional and metro workplaces.
The Key responsibilities of thisrole will include but not limited to:
1. Ensure that the Safety Management System is used and maintained at all times.
2. Ensure that all workers compensation and rehabilitation matters are efficiently managed in a timely manner and in accordance with the relevant legislation.
3. Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and diseases are properly reported, recorded and investigated.
4. Liaise with any state regulator interaction with RDO Branches
5. Liaise with and provide support to all staff concerning health and safety matters.
6. Continue to facilitate the established company Health and Safety committee and provide guidance to the HSRs in each location
7. Assist in the development of strategies, monthly campaigns and operational requirements.
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
8. The right to work in Australia
9. Domestic travel as required for the role across all RDO locations (Average of 25% of time)
10. Relevant WHS Qualifications & 5+ years’ experience in a similar Management role
11. Expert knowledge of contemporary safety issues and best practice, and the statutory and regulatory framework in which safety operates, including workplace legislation
12. Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills including demonstrated skills in consultation, facilitation, negotiation and influence, and capacity to interact at senior management level
13. Consultative and collaborative person who acts as a trusted advisor
