General Description of the Role
The Assistant Brand Manager will drive the performance of the brand/s and the portfolio. Working alongside the Snr/Brand Manager, this position will support brand ownership and play a critical role in the development and execution of the Annual Brand Plans achieving brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
1. Supporting development of brand strategy & implementation of Brand Plans alongside the SBM.
2. Accountable for delivering the brand portfolio’s day-to-day operational activities including monitoring performance.
3. Co-lead with the SBM/BM a collaborative partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Develop agency briefs for all elements of the marketing mix.
5. Conduct regular trade visits to ensure execution on shelf.
6. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure execution of brand initiatives.
7. Manage A&P Budget for the brand portfolio.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of brand and marketing activities.
9. Become a brand expert – brand, consumer, category and competitor performance analysis.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
1. Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification essential.
2. Minimum of 12 months’ marketing experience in Australia.
3. Liquor industry, FMCG or agency experience preferred.
4. Proven experience in marketing and brand management.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. High self-motivation and energy.
