About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Bid Manager, the primary focus of the Bid Writer is to develop compelling responses that clearly articulate the solution, value propositions and win themes in order to retain existing work and win new business.
This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather technical information, understand client requirements so we articulate our value proposition effectively.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility of working from home and from one of our North Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth Offices.
Key responsibilities of the role:
1. Work collaboratively with Bid Managers and SMEs to develop compelling bid responses that clearly articulate the solution, value propositions and win themes.
2. Simplify technical concepts with SMEs to develop responses that are clear, concise and easy to read.
3. Review and understand client documentation including tender conditions, scope documents and returnable requirements - including all interdependencies.
4. Create content for award submissions, corporate IP, promotion material and knowledge management.
5. Produce high-quality content for presentations, sales activities and case studies as needed.
6. Maintain the currency of Bid Library using information developed for tenders, index review dates, communication updates or any other information provided
To be successful in this key role:
You will have a background in Bid or Technical writing ideally working in a large complex environment accompanied with the following:
7. Demonstrate technical writing and copyediting skills with meticulous attention to detail
8. Advanced Microsoft Word skills particularly in creating and formatting complex business documents.
9. Excellent time management skills
10. Excellent writing and communications skills with high level of attention to detail
11. Advanced analytical skills
12. An ability to perform in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
