About the role: Our client is a well-known and highly respected global brand in the electronics industry.
This position will be based at the Sydney Olympic Park Office working 4 days in office and 1-day WFH set up.
This role supports the team in delivering operational support to special retail projects that enhance customer engagement, evaluation, and conversion.
This role is responsible for the holistic operational planning of retail fixture projects across multiple retailers in the Operator and Open channels.
The Retail Project Specialist plays a key role in ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of fixture and ad hoc retail project rollouts.
Duties and Responsibilities: Retail Special Project Planning: Coordinate the installation of new retail fixtures + new store rollouts Build and publish comprehensive project work back schedules showcasing key deliverable dates, budgets and timelines Attend special project related planning meetings, documenting and sharing updates, as well as proactively identifying potential roadblocks and prioritising clear, timely communication Provide simple and easy to understand visibility and communication on programme rollouts, including install schedules, for internal and external stakeholders Attend relevant prototype viewings, considering and providing feedback on operational impacts and display element requirements Collaborate with the Retail E&C team to organise on site Samsung field presence and support, to ensure execution excellence and display compliance Manage special project display element requirements, including placing orders, coordinating deliveries from the warehouse, and overseeing distributions for security devices, visual merchandising (VM) components, and in-store POS materials.
Conduct PIR's to ensure learnings are captured and actioned for continued improvement on special project initiatives Drive personal growth and development relating to Project Management skillset including construction floorplans, structural drawings, and project task scope planning and stakeholder management.
Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external channel partners/vendors serving as a point of contact for special projects including fixtures, new stores and any ad hoc retail related display projects Schedule, lead, and document structured project update meetings with external channel partners, ensuring alignment on execution timelines, display strategies, and resource allocations Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders on retail special project work back schedules, including highlighting vendor performance and deliverables Act as a central point of contact to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to achieve success across initiatives, understanding the planned activity and progress of VM & Design and accommodating their moving parts into the rollout & execution plan Display Element Support & Logistics Coordination: Organise the necessary supporting parts for all retail display elements, ensuring accurate planning and procurement of fixture ticketing, security, devices, and in-store POS materials Manage the booking form process for all project elements being delivered to the logistics warehouse alongside briefing plans on incoming elements and expected dispatch plans & distributions Coordinate with our logistics partner to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of all supporting elements to installation agencies, field teams, and retailer locations Track delivery progress and logistics updates, proactively planning delays and communicating ETAs with relevant stakeholders to enable efficient execution planning & handover Communications: Build consistent and brand aligned communication packs, detailing all facets of retail project information sharing including install/go live timelines highlighting key dates, display strategy, display elements, planograms and execution guidelines Provide regular status updates and progress reports, proactively flagging any issues or delays and offering solutions to keep projects on track Meet with key stakeholders (NAMS, Channel reps, Field Team) regularly to present project related communication plans, working alongside the Retail Execution & Compliance Team to emphasise launch display objectives and strategy Communicate flags or concerns to the GTM & Project Manager for timely resolution, addressing project challenges and escalation support About YOU: Experience in retail field marketing/merchandising with a proven track record in retail rollouts and execution-based projects Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect with a range of individuals Highly motivated with strong organisational & priority management skills with a high attention to detail.
Experience with working cross functionally and supporting multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills – i.e.
ability to interpret data, generate insights and make recommendations.
Problem solving & conflict resolution skills with a solution focused approach.
Ability to cope with high work volumes and pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
