Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices that align with the nursing code of conduct and AHPRA standards. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Provision of safe and efficient nursing care to maximise effective customer outcomes. Assisting, supporting and guiding the education, clinical placement and development of Enrolled Nurses and fellow Registered Nurses Fostering an atmosphere conducive to open communication, problem solving and team building. Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement within the ward/unit. Participating in health care planning, practice and evaluation. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with patients, carers and other health care team members/colleagues regarding nursing care. Practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's professional standards, Code of Conduct and CORE values. Actively promotes and participates in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs and engages in practices that promote the best possible health outcomes for patients/clients, and supports a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation. Key Selection Criteria: Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Demonstrated nursing skills, knowledge and ability relevant to area within an acute hospital setting. Demonstrated experience in the relevant field. Proven clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan and coordinate patient care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome-based care. Demonstrated high level clinical practice. Participate in a seven-day rotating roster including public holidays and an on-call roster. This is a Category A position.
