The Opportunity As the Financial Analyst you will support the LGI finance and executive team in the assessment and management of the company's performance, financial growth and development and manage the duties and strategic development of its commodity risk management hedging activity. Building financial models from the ground up working with the CFO Building and maintaining 3-way forecast & budget models (3-way financial statements) for use by the company and for external analyst reports Using large amounts of data from multiple sites to build reports, and provide business insights Enhancing budgeting, cashflow and forecasting models Identifying financial and process improvement opportunities and prepare post implementation project reviewsSupporting business development projects with financial modelling, data analytics, accessing and applying market data and insights to enhance decision making Ad hoc modelling and reporting Preparation and presentation of Investment Committee papers.Improve LGI's financial modelling capability through mentoring colleagues ? including new opportunity business cases and participation in half yearly gas flow modelling and forecasting.Daily calculations of commodity positions and limits.Execute risk management hedging transactions, compliant with Australian Financial Services Licence, legal and Board requirements.Liaise with the commodity market participants.Calculation of risk metrics, including Value At Risk and Earning At RiskMonthly reporting of the risk position, reporting against each of the key risk metrics identified by Board policy.Participate in reporting, monthly Board reporting, half yearly reporting and ad hoc reportsKey Selection Criteria: CA/CPA qualifications or equivalent (or working towards)3+ years of experience in business modellingOutstanding attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Strong motivation, enthusiasm, and initiative.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Who we are;LGI is a specialist business in landfill gas management and renewable energy generation.
