Women's and Children's Health Network, Acute and Community Services – Women's and Babies Division, North Adelaide (5006) Salary Classification - RN/M2A - Associate Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager LV2 - $100,343 to $107,279 Part Time ( 0.84 FTE) - Ongoing Permanent position About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Women's Outpatients Department as an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, where you will be responsible for: Provide expert nursing/midwifery care to women and their babies in the Women's Outpatient Department.
Support Shared Maternity Care program, working closely with Shared Maternity Care Affiliates (SMCA) and General Practitioners (GPs) to ensure smooth program management.
Ensure timely and effective communication with SMCA regarding patient results, suitability for Shared Care, and any updates on care needs.
Exhibit strong leadership, management, communication and clinical skills in a multidisciplinary, culturally competent setting.
Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, ensure ongoing service evaluation and improvement, and encourage active stakeholder involvement.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
