The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in service and repairs of civil and marine plant and equipment and on heavy machinery.Reporting to the WA Maintenance Supervisor and Project Managers, your main duties will include (but are not limited to):Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to plant and equipment,Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies,Physically inspect and sign for delivered goods and materials,Request orders through the Senior Mechanic or WA Maintenance Superintendent,Ensure materials are ordered and sequenced with short lead times,Efficiently and securely store materials to minimize double handling and theft,Adhere to Austral HSE standards and procedures.To be considered for the position you must have:Australian Recognised Trade Qualifications for Plant Maintenance or Heavy Machinery Maintenance,A high level of maintenance fitting skills including installation and repairs,Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in hydraulic and control systems,Very high attention to detail and quality with a safety-focused mindset,Experience in repairing and servicing all Mining Mobile Plant,Excellent communication to ensure all processes align with our mission statement and core values,Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and self-managed environments,In-depth understanding of mechanical diagnosis and repair including drawing interpretation and application,Current driver's license, preferably HR.Desirable but not essential:Experience in Civil Construction Plant and Equipment,Experience of Cranes and lifting equipment (Terex and Liebherr),Experience of Piling, hammer, vibration & drilling Rigs (Bauer, Liebherr, RTG, ABI, IHC, and ICE systems),Knowledge of Hydraulics as well as Fault Finding and Diagnostics experience.What’s on offer:Competitive remuneration package,Opportunities for growth and progression,Continuous work,Long-term prospects.If you are a proactive person with a strong company focus, take pride and ownership in your contribution and want to be part of a growing organization, this could be your next long-term role.Successful candidates will be required to pass a full medical, online tests, and inductions.If this position sounds like the challenging & rewarding role that you have been seeking, please apply and attach a current CV detailing your suitability for the role.Should you have any questions please call Mark Wood on 0437 929 344.Austral Construction is committed to building a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion.
