All of our courses are delivered by experienced clinicians and academics ensuring materials and content are evidence based, contemporary and future focused.About the roleThis position works in collaboration with academic and professional colleagues to provide effective and efficient laboratory support for the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The position will report to the Laboratory Team Leader and is responsible for the preparation, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials including setting up and dismantling experiments, managing inventories, ensuring safety protocols, troubleshooting equipment, and providing technical support. Key Responsibilities Prepare, set up and pack down the laboratory/teaching space and classroom materials to support learning and teaching activities in the School of Nursing and Midwifery.Assist with the coordination, organisation and preparation of resources required for learning and teaching activities.Provide routine technical advice, support and instruction for learning and teaching activities, including the demonstration and use of basic equipment.Assist in the conduct of experiments and/or set up of materials and equipment for a range of experiments and demonstrations. Qualifications, skills & experience Tertiary qualifications at Certificate IV or Diploma level with relevant work-related experience, or completion of a post-trades certificate and extensive relevant laboratory experience and on the job training, or completion of a Certificate III with extensive relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Proven laboratory experience, including laboratory methods and techniques, including laboratory safety, handling hazardous materials.Tertiary or higher education sector highly desirable.
