About the Opportunity Reporting to the Capital Works Manager, you will manage the ASC North Facilities Engineering Team that is responsible for all infrastructure related capital investments and projects for ASC North and the CCSM Program.
This position is responsible for Capital Expenditure approvals, project management, budget, quality and schedule performance to ensure successful outcomes and deliverables for the CCSM Program and ASC.
You will assist the business with general technical advice on infrastructure planning and delivery.
Responsibilities Support the Facilities Engineers in the Department about the delivery of projects they are responsible for Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with ASC's policies and procedures Report regularly on progress identifying any concerns or non-compliances Through design principles, develop scopes of work and technical specifications for upgrade and improvement projects Review quotes and tenders from suppliers Manage delivery by sub-contractors Perform contractor site inductions, permits to work and ensure contractor conformance to ASC OHS policies and external legislative requirements About you Engineering Degree qualifications in a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil/Structural stream - REQUIRED Experience of infrastructure and plant and equipment design, installation and maintenance Experience of managing infrastructure upgrade projects from initiation to completion Be agile and flexible due to changing priorities and unforeseen events Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks and to determine and set priorities Project management skills especially within a construction environment Strong understanding of safety principles and contractor safety management Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
