About the Role
Uniting AgeWell provides ageing support and services to clients throughout the Grampians Region. We have local employment opportunities available in to service Ballarat and surrounding communities.
Home Care Worker's play a vital role in delivering direct personal care and domestic assistance, alongside social support and transport as required for clients. A formal qualification is required for this role.
Key responsibilities:
* Traveling between clients' homes
* Providing personal care including assisting clients with showering, grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs
* Assisting with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and household chores
* Observing clients' physical, emotional, and behavioural status, and reporting any observations or concerns
* Assisting clients with activities that contribute to a clean, tidy, and safe living environment
* Ensuring clients' clothing and personal belongings are kept safe and well-maintained
* Providing social support and transportation services as required
* Ensuring that clients' rights, cultural, spiritual, and other individual needs are respected in all aspects of care and daily living
* Providing exceptional customer service by maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with clients and their relatives
About you:
You are passionate about making a difference in clients' lives, helping them reach their potential while staying in their homes.
Join us if you have:
* A Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability), or are pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing
* A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
* A registered, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or a willingness to obtain them
* Previous home care or domestic support experience (desirable)
* A commitment to high standards of client-directed care for clients and families
* The ability to thrive in a team while valuing one-on-one interactions

* Working With Children Check (Employee)
* A satisfactory National Criminal Police Record Check OR NDIS Worker Screening Check
