We offer the broadest range of denim styles, fits, and washes across Australia and NZ to ensure we have the best fit for everyone.THE OPPORTUNITYAn opportunity has arisen to join our vibrant Merchandise Team as a Junior Product Developer based at our National Support Centre in Hawthorn. As part of the Merchandise team, you will play an integral role in driving commercial success across our stores.Reporting directly to one of our Product Development Managers, our Junior Product Developer is involved in all areas of the product development process with the primary responsibility to ensure all efforts are made to make the allocated categories successful.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and monitor commercially viable styles that fit with seasonal trend directions set by Senior Product Developer.Commit to and work within the target market definition as outlined by Brand Plan.Attend and participate in all ranging meetings in either Jeanswest Australia or, where applicable and required, in the China office.Prepare, establish, and maintain technically sound product specifications for each style with vertical and local suppliers via the agreed sample order process, including maintaining a fit sample, colour, and fabric library.Ensure critical path management is completed in line with the merchandise calendar, approving all product samples for fits, wash finish, colour, accessory, and labelling within the critical path.Attend regular fit sessions and provide fit comments to the supplier within 24 hours.Complete daily emails and correspondence with all supply base to ensure critical path is maintained and deliveries are not affected.Communicate regularly with State/Regional Managers and stores to measure results and obtain feedback.Assist in the preparation of all in-house reports such as ‘Line Reviews’ and ‘Quarterly Reviews’.Ensure relevant sample requirements are available for marketing promotional needs for the agreed timelines.Are you the perfect fit?Tertiary qualified in fashion design or textiles.Developed written and verbal communication skills.Strong organisational skills to meet style development critical path and associated timetables.Developed PC skills in MS Word and design software packages required to undertake daily duties.Availability to travel to the Hong Kong and China Jeanswest offices.Enthusiasm and a general passion for fashion.Build relationships naturally and authentically and be a team player.Follow Iso Pro.PERKS OF WORKING FOR JEANSWESTJeanswest is a growing heritage brand with an amazing work culture and a supportive environment where you can really flourish in your career.50% OFF PRODUCT - We believe our team are the heart of everything we do, so we love to reward you starting with a generous discount off new product.HYBRID MODEL - Flexible working arrangement with the option to work from home 1 day a week and 4 days in our centrally located office in Hawthorn.PROGRESSION - Supportive and collaborative team environment with many pathways to the wider Jeanswest business.
