ABOUT THE ROLE:
The National Account Manager is a crucial link between L'Oréal and its key retail partners, responsible for cultivating strong relationships, driving sales growth, and maximizing profitability. This role involves strategic planning, negotiation, analysis, and collaborative execution of trade marketing initiatives to achieve shared objectives. The National Account Manager reports directly to the Head of O+O Retail.
1. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key decision-makers at assigned national retail accounts. Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring open communication and addressing their needs effectively.
2. Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with retailers, adhering to L'Oréal's commercial policies as defined by the Head of O+O Retail and individual brands. Ensure all agreements are up-to-date and compliant.
3. Conduct in-depth sell-out analyses in partnership with clients, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize their business performance and drive growth.
4. Rigorously monitor customer profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance financial outcomes. This includes analysing sell-in and sell-out data and other relevant client information to ensure optimal return on investment.
5. Integrate trade marketing plans into negotiation processes, leveraging them as strategic tools for retailer channel activation. Oversee the implementation of these plans, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring alignment with the retailer's specific business model. Adapt plans as needed to maximize effectiveness.
6. Utilize available data from clients to perform comprehensive sell-out analyses, identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges. Provide regular reports to management on account performance, market dynamics, and competitive activity.
ABOUT YOU:
1. Proven experience and deep understanding of the retail landscape, including current trends, challenges, and best practices.
2. Demonstrates a strong customer focus, actively listening to client needs and tailoring solutions to achieve their business objectives.
3. Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favourable commercial agreements while maintaining positive client relationships.
4. Proven track record of driving both sell-in and sell-out growth, with a strong understanding of sales strategies and tactics.
5. Strong financial skills, including P&L management and analysis, with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound business decisions.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, delivering compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
7. Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions to business challenges.
