The DevOps team is responsible for the quality-of-service delivery (uptime, responsiveness, scaling).In this role you will be providing operational support for the platform and supporting developers to ensure we can ship code faster and create a stable and reliable HCM software suite for our customers. You'll work closely with engineering squads, product teams and data engineering to ensure our platform is reliable, secure and high performing.What You Will DoEnsuring the Humanforce products and infrastructure runs with minimal interruption.Improve scalability and reliability of the platform across our multi-product suite.Ensure our alerting, monitoring and logging systems are tuned and reliable.Ensure CI/CD systems are performing in a satisfactory manner.Assist in decision making and architecture for domain features.Assist in establishing a technical vision.Helping to maintain the technical quality of team deliverables.Take on complex bugs or refactoring projects.Assisting mentorship of junior engineers in culture, behaviour and approach to problem-solving.Improve internal processes through automation.Basic assistance of other staff in technical troubleshooting.Attending professional events such as conferences to learn industry best practices and new technologies.What You'll Need3+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering role or similar, preferably with SaaS software space.Demonstrate experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP).Experience using Terraform.Competency with basic cloud architecture patterns.Experience using CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI.Experience in triaging bugs and performing debugging.Have a strong understanding of Linux systems administration and networking skills.Have an understanding of databases and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, event buses, etc.Some ‘nice to haves'Able to write high quality maintainable and readable code for automations around infrastructure, application code using Python, NodeJS, PHP.Be able to support domain teams with technical challenges.Competency with basic cloud software patterns and protocols (e.g. common architecture and standards).Ability to deep dive into issues and debug with engineers.Our valuesWe are bold.We are all in.We are customer obsessed.We do what we say.We are good humans.Our approach to flexibilityWe are passionate about people making their own decisions about where and when they work.
