Right now the company is experiencing exciting growth across the country and we are currently seeking a motivated Network and Communications Specialist to join the Short Range Ground Based Air Defence (SRGBAD) Support program based at the Centre for Joint Integration facility in Mawson Lakes. The SRGBAD Support program manages leading-edge defence equipment for the Australian Army’s air defence capability, continually developing new enhancements to maintain the Army’s technological egde in the air defence capability domain.
Our Network and Communications Specialists are working on projects that truly contribute to the defence of our nation. We look for specialists with a talent for big picture thinking and attention to detail – engineers and engineering officers with the knowledge and knowhow to apply technical theories and concepts and deliver real-world solutions. Responsible for providing requirements, design, and verification support to the SRGBAD Support systems with a focus on networks, communications and cybersecurity, the key to success will be the ability to apply a broad range of engineering skills to support the program’s development through its full engineering life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct Technical Investigations and develop of engineering and technical reports.
* Develop engineering design changes to network and communication systems.
* Work with the team to maintain cyber compliance.
* Conduct cyber security assessments and develop compliance report.
* Plan, document and execute integration and verification activities.
* Available to undertake travel to meet the requirements of the role including within Australia and internationally.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Certificate III or higher in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years’ prior relevant experience.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
* Cybersecurity and/or Communication Networks experience desirable.
* Demonstrated experience within a Defence environment desirable.
* Knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle desirable.
* Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva.
