Administrative Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health in Mt Isa. This is a full-time fixed-term position available until 31 December 2026.
About the Role
This role will provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to queries and requests. Key responsibilities include performing accurate administrative tasks such as data entry, diary management, event support, and meeting coordination to a high standard and within required timeframes.

* Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to queries and requests
* Perform accurate administrative tasks such as data entry, diary management, event support, and meeting coordination
* Deliver clear and high-quality communication, assistance, and support to staff, students, and leaders within the work area
Requirements
* Sound customer service skills with experience in a high-volume environment managing high numbers of inquiries via phone and email
* Demonstrated ability to carry out routine tasks autonomously and work effectively as part of a team to achieve outcomes
* Routine organisational and time management skills with ability to use informed judgement to prioritise and meet competing deadlines
* Effective written and interpersonal communication skills in dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds with attention to detail
* Experience with relevant Microsoft and other computerised systems and/or databases

The Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health (MCRRH) is a federally funded nationally networked University Department of Rural Health with additional funded vertical programs and key performance indicators set by the Department of Health specifically focused on health workforce.
Located in Mount Isa with nodes in Cloncurry and Longreach, MCRRH serves the large geographic region of outback northern Queensland.
