Utilities Engineer (Coordinator) - (240002AY)Description About the Role
Stantec's Utilities team is a highly respected, established group of engineers, and have a solid pipeline of work. You will be leading projects across NSW working on the design and relocation of utilities for major infrastructure projects. You will have previous experience in coordinating the delivery of utilities, providing technical advice to both project teams and clients. This role can be based in either Sydney or Wollongong and offers flexible work arrangements.
Day to day tasks would involve: Coordination and management of Utility Design teamsWorking with all utilities authoritiesLeading projects from lodgements to completionCollaborating with clients to design innovative solutions to meet their needs and community expectationsData analysis, interpretation, and assessment to achieve project goalsDesign coordination and submission of proposals ensuring relevant timeframes and budgets are metAttendance at project/client meetings and engaging in community consultationUndertaking field work and site inspectionsSupervising and mentoring junior engineersQualifications To be successful for this role you'll need:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent, or equivalent experiencePrevious experience as a utilities coordinator and/or WSCGood understanding of all utilities authorities' policies and proceduresPrevious experience in project management on Sydney Water projectsStrong project management and time management skillsExperience in developing junior engineersUnderstanding of relevant software 12D, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and MS packages (Excel, Word, Project) along with excellent drafting skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills ensuring positive relationships with staff, clients, and authoritiesValid driver's license with a willing attitude to local travelWhat we offer Along with a competitive salary we offer many other benefits to ensure your professional development & wellbeing is ongoing:
