About the role:
Our established and growing team is looking for a full-time Chef with 2+ years of experience. We are looking for a motivated full-time Chef who will be a key member of the kitchen team.
The position will offer a competitive base salary of $75,000 plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities
* Involvement in menu preparation, budgets, stock management and ordering of supplies.
* Checking stock level and ordering food, kitchen supplies and equipment according to the requirements.
* Maintaining and adjusting of temperature of cooking equipment.
* Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas such as clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
* Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
* Train kitchen staff.
* Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers
* Checking of prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
* Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
* Clean, Stock, and Restock workstations.
* Ensure that food safety standards are met at all times.
* Check the freshness of food and ingredients.
* Develop recipes and determine how to present the food.

Appropriate candidates must have the following skills, education, and experience:
* Minimum Trade-level Qualification in Commercial
* Cookery is required
* Minimum of 2 years' experience
