We are looking for an Area Manager to lead, support, and inspire a team of Case Managers to deliver exceptional care and support services. You'll create a safe, nurturing environment that fosters well-being, independence, and positive outcomes for young people. In close collaboration with the QLD Child Safety Manager and the Department of Child Safety, you'll ensure seamless coordination and compliance with regulations while also overseeing the financial sustainability of child safety operations.As a Child Safety Area Manager, your role will involve:Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of Case Managers.Assess and develop staff through personal development plans and training programs.Ensure safety, belonging, and well-being of young people in a therapeutic environment.Promote educational and well-being outcomes through continuous improvement.Match placements effectively, focusing on stability for young people.Collaborate on intake, referrals, and placement matching.Oversee HR practices including recruitment, onboarding, and staff performance management.Handle on-call duties and emergencies as required.Conduct audits to ensure quality service delivery and compliance.Manage risks, maintain privacy, and ensure child protection regulations are followed.Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting for case management and performance.Lead system and process development for child protection practices.Ensure timely creation of rosters and maintain compliance with award requirements.Oversee financial budgets and ensure responsible management within set limits.Skills & experience:5+ years in a leadership role within the Child Safety sector.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including working and communicating effectively with clients, their families, community agencies, and other professionals.Ability to work in a busy environment, both independently and as a part of a team.Comply with & understand all privacy and confidentiality policies.Cultural awareness of all backgrounds.Understand the role of the Child Protection industry and have a sound understanding of the principles of the Child Protection Act (1999) and all relevant legislation and legal requirements.Mandatory Requirements:Current QLD Blue CardCurrent First Aid and CPR CertificationHope and Healing CertificateHold a minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalentOpen QLD Driver LicenceClean Police Check dated within 6 monthsTraffic History Report from the last 5 yearsProof of Citizenship or VISA if applicableWilling to undergo training in specific courses to support the participant’s individual needsWhy Us?Immerse yourself in the heart of care at Enabling Pathways, where compassion extends beyond the workplace to directly impact the lives of our clients.
