**Senior Network Software Engineer – Battlespace Communications Systems**

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain software and networking components in an Agile, Systems Engineering environment.
* Drive product innovation to enhance system performance and functionality.
* Develop low-level requirements, system designs, and verification procedures.
* Document product architecture, features, and functionality, and lead technical demonstrations.
* Conduct analysis, reviews, and defect resolution to optimise performance.
Required Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum 6+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years in IP network protocols and paradigms (SDN).
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
* Proven skills in:
o Object-oriented development (e.g., Java, C#).
o RESTful application development.
o Networking protocols (e.g., ICMP, RIP, PIM).
o IPv4/IPv6 unicast/multicast routing, VLANs, VXLANs.
o Secure networking and encryption standards (e.g., SSL/TLS, AES/SHA).
o Basic frontend or backend web development (e.g., React, C#.NET).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to obtain or hold an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance.
Desirable Skills:
* Expertise or certifications in Cyber Security are highly regarded.
