About the role
We are seeking an Operations Assistant to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract based at our site in Marong. This role is responsible for providing general administrative support to the Regional Operations Manager, Area Managers, HR Business Partner and broader Victoria Country Operations team.
Specifically, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to:
1. Maintain and monitor systems that support operations, including purchasing, learning and finance
2. Provide support in relation to our safety management systems, policies and procedures
3. Provide professional and timely customer service to existing and prospective internal, external and corporate customers
4. Distribute key regional operations information to both internal and external stakeholders
5. Undertake administrative project work as required
6. Act as a super user of Kronos – our time and attendance system; provide high level support to operations leaders
7. Coordinate regional training for employees
About your experience
Our ideal candidate has a vocational or tertiary qualification in any discipline, experience in an administrative support role within a relevant industry (logistics / supply chain, agriculture or similar) and a keen desire to learn and be challenged.
You’ll also have:
8. Sound written and oral communication skills and the ability to construct professional documents (MS Office)
9. Intermediate ability in MS Excel; a bonus if you have some experience with finance, procurement and/or people systems
10. High attention to detail and timeliness in completing work; a proactive approach to work in general
11. Positive outlook and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
12. Bonus: basic understanding of payroll, return-to-work coordination and safety, health and environment
13. Ability to work in a team as this role will work closely with our operations team as well as other Administration Assistants at our other sites, including Tamworth, Wagga and Toowoomba
