POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Accounts Payable (AP) / Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Leader has the responsibility of leading finance officers, to provide training and support as needed.
The Team Leader will work closely with the Accounts Manager to ensure the proper financial management process is applied across all the Diocese agencies. The Team Leader will be responsible for setting strategy and monitoring progress towards team goals with support and guidance from the Accounts Manager.
The incumbent commits to working within Work Health and Safety guidelines and Code of Conduct at all times whilst in the employ of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
EXPERIENCE / CRITERIA
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role, where you are the subject matter expert.
* Experience using a large ERP software, such as TechnologyOne.
* Experience using accounts payable automation software, such as RapidAP.
* Manage high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ensuring a high accuracy of team processing.
* Lead a small team by providing support and guidance.
* Ability to solve problems and resolve conflict, both internal & external stakeholders.
* Keep team members motivated and upholding the vision of the team.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Analytical and strategic thinking skills and an ability to apply initiative.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of processes and implementing new or upgrade to finance systems.
* Ability to work to deadlines and effective time management.
* High level computer literacy including experience, especially Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, including polite telephone manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Current Paid Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
* Certificate IV in Accounting or equivalent (Desirable)
