The successful candidate will be responsible for taking charge of our spare parts logistics function, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.What will you be doing?Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of spare parts professionals to ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely handling, storage, and distribution of materials and goods.Oversee import/export-related transportation, customs clearance, storage, and local delivery of spare parts, primarily for our service business and other business lines as needed.Manage logistics suppliers (including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution) to contractual service levels, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Forecast spare parts demand to suppliers and work towards continuous reduction of backorders.Develop and implement spare parts ordering procedures to optimise resources, achieving volume, timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.Maintain the ERP system related to inventory control and spare parts ordering, collaborating with Global Spares Supply (GSS).Liaise with functional and operational managers to ensure the supply and movement of spare parts meet current and future needs.What are we looking for?Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the logistics field.Previous experience in a managerial position in logistics planning and execution, 3PL management, inventory planning, and material management.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong supply chain management knowledge.Extensive supplier management experience.Adequate knowledge of ERP and inventory planning-related IT systems.Contract management knowledge.University degree, preferably in business, logistics or related field.The breadth of our business means career pathways both local and abroad.
