About the Role
Join our dynamic team as an Associate/Principal Tailings Engineer, collaborating with outstanding colleagues on tailings design studies and contributing your expertise to mine waste management. You will play a pivotal role in our Tailings business, providing technical and commercial leadership, and benefiting from the opportunity to develop your career and technical skills within our Australian and international practice.
possesses the solutions and expertise to assist mining companies in meeting stringent environmental regulations for tailings discharge and water management, while ensuring efficient project operations.
About You
You should hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and possess over 10 years of geotechnical experience. You should be comfortable interacting with clients, overseeing complex projects, and delivering creative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the development of our Brisbane tailings business.
2. Lead teams and explore innovation in tailings dam analysis and design.
3. Develop high-level and detailed designs for tailings storage facilities to meet regulatory and project requirements.
4. Prepare design specifications, scopes of work, and schedules for construction.
5. Prepare reports and documentation, including design reports, interpretive geotechnical and laboratory reports, construction progress reports, and audit and inspection reporting.
