About the role The Senior Database Engineer is responsible for designing and managing the database systems at TAFE to ensure secure access, high performance, and reliability and to achieve optimal outcomes for business requirements. You will apply your technical knowledge across TAFE database systems to resolve issues, contribute to application and platform management, perform regular upgrades, and review practices and processes to ensure data integrity. About You You have experience implementing and supporting Oracle and MySql database services in a complex environment, including demonstrated database design and development skills. You will also have a proven ability to maintain databases in a highly available, geographically distributed model and OCI including scripting experience and automation. To be considered for this role you will need to have: Degree qualification in a related field or equivalent significant experience. Experience in implementing and supporting database services and infrastructure in a complex environment. Demonstrated database design and development skills. Highly Regarded Hands-on experience across multiple contemporary database platforms including Oracle, MySQL across multiple platforms, AWS, AZURE, OCI. Experience supporting various application platforms from a database perspective, including SAP, Peoplesoft, and bespoke applications. Provide architectural Oracle and MySQL database SME advice.
