1. Full-time fixed-term position through to January 2026
2. Base salary will be in the range $78,944.40 - $87,750.37+ 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5)
3. Based at Campus, with occasional travel to St Lucia and other Faculty locations
About This Opportunity
Join the Faculty of Science Student and Academic Administration team at the Gatton campus, where you will provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to staff and students. This role involves managing a variety of administrative tasks, resolving day-to-day issues, and maintaining administrative systems. Key responsibilities will include:
4. Provide timely and accurate information to students, staff and other stakeholders within the University policies and procedures framework, Faculty guidelines and relevant legislation.
5. Process applications and documentation for students in relation to admission, progression, examinations, class-sign on, study abroad, course enrolment, surveillance, and other student administration tasks.
6. Maintain and update of course and program information in University systems including electronic course profiles, Blackboard sites, grade upload and amendments, timetabling, and other academic administration tasks.
7. Provide advice to other University staff on student matters relating to undergraduate and postgraduate programs and courses offered through the Faculty.
8. Utilise University software systems to perform student and academic administration tasks and be committed to using new programs as they are developed.
9. Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative procedures for the continued improvement of processes in the Faculty.
10. Liaise with other Faculties, Schools and Central Administration regarding matters of policy, and procedures related to student and academic administration.
11. Act as secretary for committees and meetings, including the preparation of agendas and minutes and provide administrative support for committee initiatives.
12. Represent the University at TSXPO, Courses & Careers Days, UQ Expo and other engagement activities as required.
13. Prepare, analyse and interpret reports from information management systems.

About You
23. An undergraduate degree in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
24. A sound understanding of key administrative processes relevant to student and academic administration including undergraduate and postgraduate admissions, enrolments, examinations, graduation or the ability to rapidly gain such knowledge.
25. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
26. Demonstrated high digital literacy skills and the ability to quickly acquire competence in new software and systems.
27. High level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with a strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service.
28. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work.
29. Ability to exercise initiative and judgment, work independently and autonomously and to work collaboratively and effectively within the team and across other organisational units.
30. A strong orientation and commitment to the provision of a high level of customer service.
31. An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
