Truck Driver (MR Gang) - Russell ValeOrganisation/Entity: Transport For NSWJob location: Russell Vale, NSW, AU, 2518Job reference number: 99179Employment type: Permanent Full-TimeSalary range: $1446.9-$1446.9You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work, both physically and mentally.Every day will be different and you’ll thrive in the fast-paced environment that will see you embedded in our frontline, connecting with millions of people from across NSW.In this role, you'll:Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes)Carry out general road worker labouring duties of a Road Worker Grade 3Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools when not operating the Truck.Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow.Perform required truck checks and routine maintenance on the trucks you operate.Participate in team meetings contributing to continuous improvement for WH&S.In addition to the above, there may be requirements to work outside of normal working hours including night shifts, call outs or overtime.This position is based out of Russell Vale, working on state roads between Waterfall and Wollongong. You will operate under our Roads Maintenance team on a 9 day fortnight.We take the WH&S of our employees seriously and therefore the successful candidate will be required to reside within 50 km to the Russell Vale depot or is willing to relocate.About youWe are looking for an experienced Truck Driver who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury-free workplace for all employees while operating in a high-speed, high-traffic volume environment.You will have the following tickets and experience:White CardLabouring experience in a construction or civil environment and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district.A strong understanding of Chain of ResponsibilityTraffic Control Certification (Implement Traffic Control)Who we areTransport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
