The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years. An exciting opportunity exists to join the Examination Branch in the VCE Examinations Unit for a fixed term full-time position. Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%) Fixed term till 7/06/2026 Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions maybe/are available) Usual work location: East Melbourne Role purpose The HR Advisor provides high level strategic and expert advice to key stakeholders through a HR Business Partnership model and develops and executes integrated HR strategies and initiatives that deliver fit-for-purpose human resource outcomes. The role also provides coaching and support on a broad range of complex HR issues offering contemporary and flexible solutions in line with organisational priorities and in accordance with relevant government policy, legislation, industrial awards and departmental policies. The incumbent provides leadership and expert direction, fostering a culture of high performance through collaborative efforts. Their strategic insights drive innovation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and best practices in HR management. About the unit The VCE Examinations unit develops and produces all VCE written examinations, including those for the Northern Hemisphere Timetable. The unit produces alternative format examinations, examination specifications, sample examination materials and examination reports. Experience and qualifications Tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline (and/or relevant industry experience). Strong HR generalist experience with a proven record in providing strategic HR advice and ability to contribute to workforce management and planning. Extensive HR Business partnering and coaching experience championing best practices in people management Experience in large scale recruitment and talent acquisition is desirable.
