The Chief Technology Office branch is responsible for the delivery of corporate ICT services. Services include enterprise policy, standards and planning, architecture, project delivery, telecommunications and the support and management of corporate ICT systems in partnership with multiple vendors and business users.
About your new role
We’re seeking a passionate Senior Network Engineer to take charge of designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the local area networks of an organisation to ensure maximum uptime for users. The role includes designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems, as necessary.
We're looking for people who have:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information regarding information technology-related problems into simple terms for all stakeholders
* A team player who can work independently as well as within a team
* Capability and experience in Project Management and Methodology, including Project Financial Management and Procurement
* Experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation
* Experience configuring and managing firewalls (Checkpoint and Palo Alto Preferred)
* Experience creating design documentation and diagrams using software such as Microsoft Visio
* CCNA or JNCIA or similar vendor certification (Desirable)
* Qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Business, Information Technology, Information Management, Computing, or similar discipline will be highly advantageous
* Drivers licence and willingness to travel within LGA to perform device installations and troubleshooting activities.
