Previous tertiary experience would be desirable but not essential.You will be required to undertake a range of duties within our programs, with a primary focus on marking, tutorials, workshops, and student contact. All casual positions have a degree of administrative duties.About youYou will have relevant qualifications and professional experience, and a proven track record of maximizing educational outcomes. You will have expertise as a passionate and engaged Early Childhood Education and Care teacher, with a strong working knowledge of contemporary principles and practices in early childhood education and care. You will be willing to share your knowledge and expertise with future education providers and leaders to promote excellence in this field of education. Ideally, applications will have:Bachelor’s degree in education (Early Childhood), Masters, or Higher degree by research in Education in Early Childhood; and at least 2 years recent teaching experience in an early childhood setting (for children aged from six weeks to six years);Knowledge of the National Quality Standard (ACECQA) and the Early Years Learning Framework (DET, 2022).Expertise in planning and assessing children’s learning.Reliable, effective communication with colleagues and students, and ability to meet deadlines.Experience with online teaching environments (preferably Blackboard) and teaching adults is desirable.We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, from teachers, academics, centre directors, and/or educational leaders.Salary and benefitsThese casual roles offer flexible working conditions online and on campus at the Gold Coast, with professional experience supervision opportunities available across Australia.The current hourly rate for casual academic staff is from $52.95 an hour (up to $62.96 for PhD holders) plus superannuation.
