Key Responsibilities:
In this diverse role, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Reconciling cash, bank, and General Ledger accounts.
2. Processing fortnightly payroll and managing monthly superannuation payments.
3. Preparing quarterly Portable Long Service Leave and assisting with creditor payments and debtor invoicing.
4. Overseeing the production of monthly financial reports and managing traineeship claims.
5. Leading, developing, and supporting the Accounts Coordinator/Receivable Officer.
6. Assisting with WorkCover processes, annual financial audits, and compliance with financial statutory requirements.
7. Ensuring the accuracy and timely execution of month-end procedures, including general ledger reconciliations and journal adjustments.
8. Providing advice and training on financial and payroll systems, and maintaining documented processes and procedures.
9. Collaborating with management to produce financial reporting outcomes and meet specific deadlines.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
10. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or Commerce.
11. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
12. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., GST, FBT).
13. Experience within the disability services sector (preferred).
14. Strong leadership skills and experience overseeing finance teams.
15. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
16. A strong business acumen with the ability to manage conflicting demands and deliver high-quality outcomes within strict deadlines.
17. Advanced computing skills and experience with financial reporting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
18. Proven ability to maintain financial controls and ensure statutory compliance, especially within the not-for-profit sector.
