As a Senior Clinical Data Analyst Lead, you will lead data-driven initiatives that optimise patient care and drive continuous improvement. Leveraging your expertise in data analysis and project management, you will uncover valuable insights and develop strategies to enhance clinical outcomes. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding a team, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of innovation within the Division and the wider Local Health Network.
About the role:
Working as the Senior Clinical Data Analyst Lead, some of your duties will involve:
* Analysing local and external benchmarking platforms to identify improvement projects to be considered.
* Leading the development, delivery, and evaluation of complex data governance and management projects, functions, and services.
* Defining business problems that analytics can resolve, guiding technical teams in the creation of analytics-driven solutions to the issues and embedding solutions in business operations.
* Providing insights, advice, training, and education to key stakeholders.
About you:
* (ASO8) Tertiary qualification/s in Public Health, Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related discipline.
* (RN4) Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* (AHP4) Appropriate Allied Health qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, giving eligibility for full registration with relevant professional body and/or membership with the relevant professional association and Project/Program management qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience in large scale software development and system maintenance and with associated database management including health data-sets e.g., SQL or Python.
* Experience in data visualisation e.g., Power BI or other.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire others to work collaboratively to achieve objectives, developing talent with a commitment to a team-oriented philosophy to bring about best use of resources to deliver services.
* Demonstrates sound decisions, ensures accountability, works effectively/manages complexity to ensure work output and decisions are ethical and invariably of a high standard.
* Self-motivated, organised, demonstrated initiative and an ability to operate independently while remaining focused on agreed objectives that may have competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
* Experience in analysing and identifying business requirements and developing appropriate clinical improvement or remedial strategies and change specifications to reengineer processes and systems.
