About the RoleThis full-time, permanent position is ideal for a dedicated Site-Based Safety Advisor passionate about creating a safe, effective work environment. You'll be responsible for safety oversight on a major project set to run through mid-next year. Responsibilities Implement and promote safety policies and practices across the site. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Coordinate and lead daily pre-start meetings and weekly toolbox talks. Monitor and report on compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Facilitate safety training and inductions for new and existing site personnel. Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and near-miss reporting, following up with corrective actions. Develop and review JSA and SWMS. Actively engage with project managers and supervisors to address and mitigate potential hazards. Maintain safety records and documentation, ensuring all reporting is up-to-date and accurate. Participate in emergency response planning and coordinate mock drills. To Be Successful Diploma in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification. Proven experience as a Safety Advisor on large civil or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and incident investigation. Ability to work in remote locations with roster flexibility. A commitment to safety with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
