About the role
6. The Specialist Radiographer Trauma is responsible for the provision of trauma imaging procedures using specialised equipment to perform complex medical imaging examinations for clients across a range of imaging modalities with a high level of professional independence.
7. The incumbent continues to obtain specialist knowledge regarding trauma radiography, contributes to developing professional knowledge of other radiographers and to professional imaging standards relating to trauma radiography, specifically in CT and X-Ray.
8. The incumbent undertakes routine research programs and may coordinate trauma imaging quality assurance programs. Supervision, education and training of junior radiographers to ensure high imaging standards and participation in departmental CPD programs.
9. The incumbent is responsible for the provision of more complex imaging services, using specialised equipment to perform diagnostic medical imaging examinations for clients across a range of clinical specialities, with minimal professional direction.

Essential Requirements:
13. Current National Police Clearance (NPC)

15. Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the in the workplace.
Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
16. Licensed under the Radiation Protection and Control Act SA (1982)
17. Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification, which entitles a statement of accreditation in Diagnostic Radiography from the Australian Institute of Radiography, or its recognised equivalent (up to July 2012) and then registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (post July 2012).
18. Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
19. Modality trained in Computed Tomography, in addition to general radiography skills
