About the role South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced Clinical Systems Engineer to join our Biomedical Engineering Services Department. The South West Healthcare (SWH) Biomedical Engineering department is responsible for software systems that interface with medical equipment at SWH and across the SW region. The Clinical Systems Support Engineer will be responsible for these systems, for their Installation Documentation Maintenance Clinical support, and, Security. Position overview Full-time (80 hours per fortnight), On-going position Monthly Accrued Day off Warrnambool Campus Biomed Engineer Class 3 Salary Range: $89.396.00 pro rata, plus superannuation What you bring The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong focus on the needs of the organisation, the users and ultimately the patients when delivering systems and implementing system changes. A degree in science or engineering, with a specialisation in biomedical engineering, medical IT, or a related field, is preferred. Alternatively, relevant certifications such as Cisco Network Certification may be considered in place of a formal degree. A strong background in network IT, combined with experience in biomedical systems, is essential. Candidates should be familiar with industry standards such as AS/NZS 3551, AS/NZS 3003, IEC 60601, and ISO 14791. In addition, at least 5 years of experience in a biomedical engineering or IT-focused healthcare environment is required, with a solid understanding of both network infrastructure and biomedical technologies.
