These entry-level roles offer a unique opportunity to be part of one of Australia’s most ambitious health research projects, working at the cutting edge of clinical data systems within hospital environments.As a Clinical Data Linkage Manager, you’ll support the design, implementation, and operation of systems that manage the complete lifecycle of hospital clinical data. Your work will include participant linkage, data extraction, secure transfer, and governance — all critical to the success of GenV’s hospital-based data initiatives.This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of experience writing SQL scripts using Python and SQL Server. We're especially interested in high-achieving undergraduate or master’s students with strong analytical skills. The successful candidate will be able to understand methodologies for record matching and data extraction from birthing hospitals, follow established protocols for secure data handling, and write clear, efficient SQL queries with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.About Your New TeamGeneration Victoria (GenV) is a world-leading initiative creating a transformative research resource to drive better health and well-being for children and adults. By linking consented participant data with existing health, environmental, and service datasets, GenV enables groundbreaking research for both observational and interventional studies—all while adhering to its core principle of minimal burden on participants.Through enduring partnerships with hospitals, government agencies, and data custodians—such as the Centre for Victorian Data Linkage, Australian Bureau of Statistics, EPA Victoria, and the Department of Health and Aged Care—GenV is pioneering large-scale, ethical, and secure data integration.Your Responsibilities IncludeAssess and identify where clinical data is stored within hospital databases and EMRs.
